What is Coaching?

Coaching Coaching is about helping you achieve the potential you deserve; finding the answers you need and getting an action plan together that will help you deliver your goals and objectives. It is about breaking down barriers that prevent change and creating the ideal environment for positive action to take place. The agenda belongs to you and together with your coach you can look forward to the future, enabling you to achieve the best you can.



What Coaching can do for you?

You will receive a bespoke programme designed to meet your specific needs with non-judgmental support. You can be coached in almost anything you want to change:

  • dealing with change,
  • effective management,
  • changing direction,
  • getting a new job or getting promoted,
  • work-life balance,
  • building confidence,
  • health and lifestyle issues such as getting fit/weight management
  • building self esteem,
  • goal setting and goal getting
  • overcoming a specific problem or situation.


No matter how good you are, you can always achieve more.



Who needs Coaching and how often?

Everyone can benefit - you, your team and your organisation. Goals have often been likened to New Year's Resolutions, changing habits of a lifetime isn't easy, often despite good intentions, it becomes too hard, the excuses not to are too easy to find and the effort peters out after a few weeks, you keep doing what you've always done and get the same old results. With the help of a qualified coach it will be different; you can address any challenge in a secure and confidential environment, and succeed where you didn't in the past. Your first coaching session is usually free and, if you decide to go forward, ideally sessions will last 60-90 minutes and take place every 2-4 weeks. They can be face to face or by phone which ever is most convenient to you and most appropriate for your progress.



So what will you get?

Your coach will help you put a programme in place to help you achieve your personal goals. The programmes are generally planned a month in advance and the aim is to develop momentum and maintain it! Prior to each session your coach will spend hours preparing, so that every minute you're together counts -- our time together is too valuable to waste! Each session will begin with a quick review of our previous conversation, so you can ask any questions or follow up on any ideas and review progress. Before your session ends, your coach will make sure you are clear of the steps you need to take before your next session together. Shortly after each session, you'll get a summary of what was discussed, so you don't need to worry about writing everything down (this lets you spend more time absorbing the ideas and strategies your coach will discuss with you).

You will be encouraged to take "bite size" steps towards achieving your goals so you'll be able to easily achieve each milestone and be energized with your progress because you'll see tangible results, right from the first session!
